A Standing Gesture
This screen does not merely divide — it stands. Rooted in a solid pine base, its presence is deliberate, anchored.
Crafted with traditional mortise and tenon joinery, the frame is assembled without nails or glue — a quiet testament to the endurance of well‑fitted wood. Within it, a field of natural reed is hand‑woven, its texture warm and irregular — a surface that catches light, softens sound, and invites the eye to linger.
The base is designed with subtle supports that lift the screen slightly from the floor — a detail that gives it an almost hovering lightness while maintaining perfect stability.
At full height, this screen defines a zone without sealing it — a threshold that remains open, breathable. Ideal for partitioning a lobby, framing a meditation corner, or creating an intimate niche within a larger room.
Like all pieces from our atelier, this screen is made individually. Dimensions, wood species, and weave density may be tailored to your project’s specific needs.
